Danielle Longo
Clinical Mental Health Intern, NC and SC
Danielle is a clinical mental health counseling intern under the supervision of Dr. Roman and Northwestern University. She sees clients both virtually and in-person in Wilmington, NC.
Danielle offers individual therapy to children, adolescents, and adults, helping them navigate a range of challenges including depression, anxiety, relationship dynamics, and trauma recovery. Her counseling approach integrates psychodynamic therapy, person-centered therapy, and rational emotive behavior therapy, tailoring each to effectively address the unique lives and needs of her clients.
She has completed additional training in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy via MUSC, as well as treatment for individuals with ADHD via the University of Geneva.
Danielle's primary goal as a counselor is to create a compassionate, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel comfortable and safe sharing their innermost thoughts, feelings, and aspirations. She is dedicated to helping each individual gain deeper self-awareness, build the resilience needed to confidently pursue their goals, and develop effective coping strategies to navigate life's challenges long after their work with her has ended.
Danielle received her Bachelor of Science in Biopsychology, Cognition, and Neuroscience from the University of Michigan. In her spare time, Danielle practices self-care by lifting weights, hiking mountains, and traveling with her sister.
