About Hanna
Hanna Hallundbaek is a Clinical Mental Health Counseling Intern who provides virtual therapy services to clients in North Carolina and South Carolina. Hanna is passionate about helping individuals and couples cultivate greater self-understanding, emotional well-being, and connection in their lives. She believes therapy should be a collaborative and supportive process where clients feel empowered to explore challenges, build resilience, and create meaningful change.
Drawing from a holistic perspective, Hanna recognizes the connection between emotional, physical, relational, and personal well-being. She strives to create a warm, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel seen, heard, and supported throughout their therapeutic journey.
Ideal Client
Hanna enjoys working with adults and couples navigating anxiety, relationship concerns, life transitions, identity exploration, self-esteem challenges, and stress-related difficulties. She has a particular interest in supporting women’s mental health concerns, intimacy and relationship issues, and individuals seeking to better understand themselves and their patterns of relating to others.
Hanna also enjoys working with neurodivergent individuals and helping clients develop greater self-awareness, self-compassion, and confidence as they move toward their personal goals.
Therapeutic Approach
Hanna utilizes a client-centered and integrative approach to therapy, tailoring treatment to each client's unique needs and experiences. She incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based interventions, strengths-based approaches, and multicultural perspectives to support growth and healing.
Her therapeutic style emphasizes collaboration, authenticity, and curiosity. Hanna works alongside clients to identify patterns, develop practical coping strategies, strengthen relationships, and build lives that align with their values and goals.

Hanna is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Northwestern University. She is completing her clinical internship with Balanced Wellness and receives ongoing supervision and training to support the delivery of evidence-based, ethical, and culturally responsive care.
Hanna is committed to lifelong learning and is passionate about reducing stigma surrounding mental health while helping clients achieve greater balance, connection, and well-being.
