Expert Marriage Counseling & Couples Therapy

Helping You Rebuild, Reconnect & Strengthen Your Relationship

“I feel more like a roommate than a partner.”

“We used to talk for hours—now we barely say a word.”

“Everything turns into an argument.”

If these thoughts sound familiar, you’re not alone. Many couples reach a point where communication breaks down, trust is shaken, or emotional and physical intimacy fades. Marriage counseling may be the answer.

But here’s the truth: Struggles in relationships are normal. What matters is how you navigate them.
At Balanced Wellness, we specialize in helping couples rebuild trust, improve communication, and find joy in their relationship again.

Whether you're feeling disconnected, struggling with unresolved conflicts, or trying to recover from a major breach of trust like infidelity, marriage counseling can help.

Is Marriage Counseling Right for You?

Many couples believe that therapy is only for those on the brink of divorce—but that couldn’t be further from the truth. Counseling isn’t about pointing fingers; it’s about understanding why conflicts arise and how to resolve them in a way that strengthens your relationship.

Couple seeking therapy and counseling to strengthen relationship and better communication
  • You keep having the same argument over and over without a resolution.

  • You feel unheard or misunderstood, even in simple conversations.

  • Affection and intimacy have faded, and you don’t know how to bring it back.

  • Trust has been broken—whether from infidelity, secrecy, or dishonesty.

  • Big life transitions (new baby, career changes, retirement) have created distance between you and your partner.

  • You love each other, but you feel more like roommates than partners.

If any of these resonate, counseling can give you the tools to reconnect and move forward together.

What to Expect from Marriage Counseling

Couples therapy isn’t about reliving every past mistake—it’s about learning to communicate effectively, resolve conflict in a healthy way, and rebuild emotional and physical closeness.

Here’s how we help:

Marriage counseling isn’t just for crises. Life transitions—like having kids, career stress, or even retirement—can put a strain on any relationship. We help couples adapt, find balance, and stay connected through these changes.

How We Approach Couples Therapy

At Balanced Wellness, we don’t believe in one-size-fits-all counseling. Every couple is unique, so we use evidence-based approaches tailored to your relationship.

  • Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT): Helps couples move from conflict to connection by identifying emotional triggers and strengthening emotional bonds.

  • The Gottman Method: Based on 40+ years of research, this approach focuses on conflict resolution, deepening intimacy, and rebuilding trust.

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for Relationships: Identifies unhealthy thought patterns contributing to arguments and replaces them with healthier communication habits.

Studies show that 90% of couples who complete Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) see significant improvement in their relationship.
